It's easy: You take the picture at dawn, on a day in early January cold enough to freeze the reflecting pool, following a snow or ice storm! You pretty much have the place to yourself. There was one other person there that morning, who you can see it this photo with a woman in a shawl. Say, you wrote this comment before the big storm. Sunday would have been a good day for you to try this. Maybe Thursday will give you another opportunity.

Thanks very much for the compliments! I think this is one of the photos I posted twice because the reviewers overlooked it in the Google Earth review for a long time. Now I forget if this is the first or second posting. What I do remember is that it was an absolutely cold day!
