This appears to be an angle from Toulumne Meadows and if this is indeed the case, Mt. Lyell would be on the right. It's a nice shot of Mt. Dana but does not show her precipitous eastern scarp, which is very steep and drops from the summit into a high hanging valley with a small glacier at the head of it. I climbed Dana in 1953 and enjoyed tremendous unobstructed views north and south along the Sierra crest and east into the Nevada desert, not to mention west down toward Lake Tenaya and Yosemite. Mt. Dana is 13,090 feet. Lyell is a bit higher as I recall.

Mt. Dana is much more striking when viewed from the north, say the meadows at Camp Tioga below Saddlebag Lake or from Saddlebag Lake itself.
