What did the full bridge look like? Did it have a section that raised and lowered? I'm surprised there's no wikipedia article about it.
For Ragemanchoo82, Yes it did have a section that raised and lowered, one where both sides had a section that raised etc. The whole bridge deck was wooden, which always made for an interesting ride, as when I was a kid this bridge seemes ancient and was torn down to make way for a new concrete bridge. The new bridge was finished in 1985, and was named the Richard I Bong Memorial Bridge, after a local flying ace from WWII. Here are a few articles with pictures, although even looking up the name it had, it's still not got an article in Wiki.
