Housing development over the years has served to surround this small pond at the edge of Blyth. However, it now provides a valuable habitat for wildlife and a useful place for locals to observe it.
The pond has swans and ducks (mainly mallard) breeding and is also used by heron and moorhen.
Grassland and scrub on the site also provide a valuable refuge for local wildlife..
The fishing is let to a local club.
