This was a very important airport during WWII. They ferried thousands of aircraft through here on the way to Russia. This is one of the very few uncontrolled airports that has an ILS so that should help you out!! Tim

Cool beans Tim, I guess if I looked at a sectional or WAC I would have caught that. I guess back in the day, they just might have had an ADF there in 1942 or so.

Oh for sure and they are still using ADF's although GPS approaches are slowly phasing them out.
