Hi Sankos!!! Nature always has something new to surprise, right?!!! Thank you very much for your visit so friendly and LIKE!!!

Hola Carlos!!!

Hi Teodor!!! I went to the beach early in search of sunrise over the waves but some rebels clouds did not allow me to see it as I expected... anyway I found these strange eggs-capsules that caught my attention!!! I took several photos and then I returned capsules (with live snails inside) on the sea before falling prey to gulls!!! Thank you very much for your visit and LIKE!!!

Saludos para ambos, Toto

what s this in desert...??

Toto Franchi on May 18, 2011

Hiماناما, welcome!!! It was not in the desert !!! This container so special (eggs capsules) is made by a marine snail, Adelomelon brasiliana, within it lays its eggs and a liquid mixed with proteins and sugars that serve as food!!!! The snails create this big egg (a little larger than the chicken egg) with a membrane, like plastic, but a little softer .... they do to protect their tiny eggs and snails from predators!!! When small snails have grown enough, the big egg breaks and they are released into the sea!!! Smart nature, right?

Sometimes .. by the action of the tides and strong winds, the eggs are washed up on the beach where they are often found broken, but in such cases like this, you can be found whole eggs with small snails in it!!!

Thank you very much for your visit and interest!!!

Friendly greetings, Toto
