Its great to look at the detail. Are you/were you a Civil Engineer? I used to be a civil engineer but now I am mean and grumpy one!
Best wishes from North Carolina - Jethro

The Rotunda is an iconic, cylindrical highrise building in Birmingham, England. The Grade II listed building is 81 metres (266 ft) tall and was completed in 1965. It was refurbished between 2004 and 2008 by Urban Splash with Glenn Howells who turned it into a residential building with serviced apartments on 19th and 20th floors. The building was officially reopened on May 13, 2008
Hi Jetro it is strange to look at the Rotunda and remember it being built as the rebuilding of the Bullring in Birmingham. It is now one of the only buildings left in a new regeneration!
I was in Telecommunications.
All the best Peter

There seems to be an interesting architecture in Birmingham. It looks a bit like the modern archtecture in Hamburg from the last years, so I´m very amazed that this building is from 1963! LIKE ..............................
This bridge connects two parts of a shopping center. But the most people who want to cross the street use the bridge from which I made the photo. So the bridge you can see is unnecessary. (Only good for make a photo)
Greetings from Hamburg

Hello Peter,
A master peace of the shot. Look at those scaffolding. This is Birmingham, without Rotunda B'ham is blank. They wanted to knock it down once, but survived during restructuring of Bullring. I remember once going up to the 9th floor to see an architect..amazing view from inside. They should have turned top floor into restaurant/viewing gallery..

Hi Manoo
I can not take credit for this photo as it was taken by my late uncle, but I thought it would be of great interest. Especially as it survived the latest reorganisation.
The amazing thing is that my uncle lost his right arm during the war and could hold the camera steady and take some great photos.
Best wishes Pete

Hello Peter. Thanks for the background info. I was quite impressed by yours and your uncle's photography. More so because they are 35mm film format. I bet you have some cracking pics of old Brum. Regards, Reg.
