An unsealed road leads from a turn near the Alexandra Range lookout to the Koala Beach Resort on Cape Kimberley. Dense rainforest embosoms the camp; lizards, large insects, possums and other marsupials can be seen or heard harassing in the bushes. The reception & pub area are an old-fashioned log cabin featuring wooden-plank floors, tables made of roughly trimmed tree trunks, and a veranda dimly lit by paraffin torches that smell of petrol, scent and passion.
