A great wall. Very nice.
This is not a wall, but the Augustus Door! The two small side arcades are reserved for pedestrians and two central arches are reserved for Roman chariots! This Augustus Door is part of ancient ramparts surrounding the city of Nîmes. There were a dozen doors and almost 80 towers. This door was located on a major road was going to Rome! Let me introduce another door, called the Door of France, in Nîmes always! Today, there are only two doors, the Augustus Door and the Door of France!
WOW! touch it. It would bring luck to you.
This is where the Chinese thought goes far away of the French thought!
I am glad to see our differences. You would not complain that Chinese copy French. LOL
When it's made in Hong Kong that's fine, but when it's made in China, there are some little problems sometimes! LOL!
That is why America has a big problems now, since over half of their products available in the market are made in China. LOL
Obviously, the only thing we don't learn in school is to copy... Then... After this isn't easy to copy! LOL!
The clever America has been started their money machine to print out copies of notes to save them. LOL
I'm not quite agreeing with you! Americans simply copy the UFO! No tickets, there is not serious!
You are right.
It's really well-preserved gate! L
Thank you for your visit and Like!
Yes, in Nîmes, the Roman monuments are well preserved. What is curious is the fact that the ground has risen significantly around the monuments since Roman times.
Merci pour ton comment, mais je considère cette photo un peu loupée ! Je l’ai prise à contre jour en fin d’après midi, alors qu’il fallait faire cette photo le matin. Je me rends compte, de plus en plus, que l’éclairage est très important en photographie !
