Do birds dig out these hole's, then stuff them with nut's??

Hello Lloyd, it's interesting what Red-Headed Woodpeckers will do to store food. Normally, they use the same storage technique in oak trees. I suppose the old fence posts offer easier digging. Best regards, Michael
