Frederiksborg castle at a frosen lake

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

That afternoon I drew up from Copenhagen. The sun was setting with beautiful colors, and I drew as fast as I could to get to this point before it was too late. The traffic was slow, the road was icy, and as you can see, I did not manage it but arrived about 15 minutes too late to get the dream-shot. Now I am waiting for another of the rare winters with a frozen lake, snow and the warm glows from a setting sun.

Hello Oberto, Thank you very much for your like. It is indeed a nice castle, but the picture would have been even better if it had not been ice on the roads. I was coming up by car from Copenhagen to a meeting at an office in Hillerød from where we had this view. I became aware of the colors while driving but the road was bloddy icy, and I came 15 minutes too late to get the warm glue from the setting sun. The problem is that it is not every winter the lake is frozen + with fresh snow. Then it helps to ge get a greeting from someone liking the photo as it is. Kind regards Johannes Ejner
