Construído entre el 13 de Junio de 1894 y el 24 de Diciembre de 1898 mediante concesión otorgada a don Bernardo Navarro. La estructura fué adquirida a la San Francisco Bridge Company de Nueva York. Su forma es de “cornisa” o “Catilever”, hecha de hierro y acero, de 167,65 metros de largo, 5,20 metros de ancho y de 18,30 metros sobre el nivel del agua. Es considerado el primero sobre el Río Magdalena, y el segundo en América Latina en su clase.
NAVARRO BRIDGE: Built between June 13, 1894 and December 24, 1898 by means of negotiated concession to Mr. Bernardo Navarro. The structure was acquired to the San Francisco Bridge Company of New York. It’s form of “cornice” or “Catilever”, is made of iron and steel, of 550 feet long, 17 feet wide and of 60 feet above the water level. It is considered the first on the Magdalena River, and the second in Latin America in its class.
