Magnificent scenery Rich, and excellent colour too! I always get the snow and shadows looking blue. Here in the Rockies, it is white!

A great series of photos.

Warm wishes on your travels, Amelia

Greetings Amelia, Thanks so much for the visit. The snow was really bright and the sky deep blue. So beautiful. A perfect day for the hike. The snow shadows pick up the blue from the light reflecting off the sky (my theory anyway). Does your camera have a white balance? With mine you take a picture of the white snow and then tell the camera that is the white I want. After that the shadows are not so blue. If you shoot in raw then you can adjust the white balance in post processing. Photo shop lets you do it in color saturation settings. Hope that helps. Cheers, Rich

Greetings Karin, Thanks for the visit and comment. The brilliant snow make the sky look so deep and blue. I sat and talked with another fellow for a long time and just admired the view from up there. Cheers, Rich
