This is Folsom Lake (not "Pan" in the title)as seen from Doton's Point within Folsom Lake State Recreation area. Mooney Ridge is on the skyline to the right and Folsom Dam is in the center of the horizon (difficult to see). The igneous rocks in the foreground are composed of granodiorite of the Penryn Pluton. This photograph was taken by keef_mon in September 2007, which is low water, but not as bad as the severe drought of 2008. Other photographs taken by others and posted on Panoramio will show much lower water levels, plus higher spring water levels. The shoreline of Folsom Lake varies seasonally.

Duh... yes it is folsom lake. Or to be more precise a pan(orama), comprised of 9 photos that i put together. I know the area and anyone could look at google earth and see that it was facing the dam etc.
Does it give you personal satisfaction to try and belittle people while "trying" to make yourself sound smarter. Of course the lake level changes with seasons and year to year. Just like most lakes. When i took this photo in 07 it was the lowest i had seen it.
