Couchiching Ice Cave

This fluke of Nature was the result of just the right formula of ice and wind. In many seasons I have not seen it repleated anywhere, and I've looked! To the rest of the world this was just a common pressure ridge to ramp skidoos off of. But hidden inside lay a fantasy world lit by Nature's best soft-box lighting through 18" of ice and even more snow. The cave formation continued back along the shorline for more metres than I could see, and was large enough to accomodate a person. But having this thing against crushing icy deaths, I declined!

I would like it if the couple who mapped this on their Garmin and came to my door would get in touch again. I'm always searching for natural treasures and perhaps we can undertake some cooperative artistic enterprises together.
