Oil on Linen 1050x750mm This is a painting of a tree of the T3 track near Mountain Lagoon. This tiny tree is not much bgger than the canvas it is painted on. It is the poorest of trees in the poorest of soils. But it has the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are the poor for the Kingdom of heaven is theirs." These words of Jesus are a part of his famous sermon on the mount. This tree (a ti-tree - melaluka) has a 270 degree view of one of the most beautiful vistas in Australia and the world - it is in the world heritage Wollomai National Park. The kingdom of heaven truly belongs to it.

It is a very good painting too Russell. And another captivating analogy with the Gospel in your comment. Poor, struggling and not very impressive at all but happy and hopeful for more happiness to come. Thank you for posting. Many blessings to you.
