Seen from Hassness on an overcast Winter day, Fleetwith Pike rises to the left of the picture, with the small bump of Green Crag in the centre and the serrated top of Haystacks to the right. The Scarth Gap pass to Ennerdale is on the skyline at the extreme right of the shot. The Honister Pass road climbs the valley to the left of Fleetwith Pike.
