Very nice pic, K.Csaba! When you look at the empty benches, it shows how lonely some older people must be... Well done!

Hello Lubomira! Yes, it is a very old tradition to sit down in the park. In many places this tradition is still alive. The old generation isn’t so interested in watching the cheep soap operas on the television, they prefer to go out, to walk in the gradens or parks, to sit down. In Bucharest, the Cismigiu Park I saw many old people taking a walk, playing chess, talking about the daily stuff with their friends or just sitting and enjoying the sunshine like this lady from the picture. I agree with you that she could tell many stories, but many people wouldn’t listen to hear her in this rushing world. Cheers, Csaba

We will be conscious of our years

our branches and holy leaves

of our roots

beautiful roots

because they are under the surface

Give us the pleasure of regret

our tears sing wiser

making our affection fast

waiting for the bird

(living calendar of days)

who shall say: the world wears away
