As peaceful as this might look, the water surface was actually roiling and grinding the ice formations. Until the sun rose, I was unable to get a still shot of the ice; a longer shutter speed was needed. At this point I switched from recording movement of ice and water to capturing it all as a motionless composition. indyj@rogers.com
