Twelve community groups representing a wide cross section of the people of Belfast have been involved in the Belfast Wheel, a unique public sculpture facilitated by the New Belfast Arts Initiative. The community groups that participated in the Belfast wheel are 1. Survivors of Trauma 2. Cre8tive Youth 3. Mica Drive Day Centre 4. Upper Ardoyne Youth Club (Glenbryn) 5. Tar Anall 6. Ardcarn Korner Club 7. Sure Start at Donegall Pass 8. Walkway Community Centre 9. Belfast Travellers Support group 10. Ballyowen Day Centre 11. New Start 12. Ardoyne Youth Club. Each segment of the Belfast Wheel was made by a different community group and when placed together, the sections represent a map of Belfast. Start at 12 o'clock with group 1 and count clockwise. The segments were made in clay and then cast in bronze. The Belfast Wheel is about 2 meters in diameter.
