The school was constructed by the villagers in the summer of 1973. The first and second teachers were members of "education corps", a pillar of the last king's white revolution. The first school year 24 students registered. The number declined as more of child bearing young families migrated to the cities. At present only 4 students are attending the school every other day. The building is in disrepair and is expected to collapse soon.

It is good that you have photos of this. My old school has recently been replaced with a shiney new one. My mom and I both went to school there and even had a couple of the same teachers. I also have photos of my fathers old school which is falling in on itself. These are all good memories to have. Like

It is always a bit sad when part of the childhood disappears. It must have been a busy place with boisterous children chanting the ABC there.
