Hi! Karin ;>)

I was thinking back to the good old days when every car sold in the UK was made here..I suddenly remembered this >>>> Morris Minors' BIGGER BROTHER and one of Mr Morris's all time greats the MORRIS ISIS..India's favourite car ;>)

I am a mine of useless information ;>)

K@rin on February 17, 2011

:))) JIM thanks , much appreciated , no info is useless ! :)

Free Wheels on February 17, 2011

Jim, my very first car was a 1954 Morris Issis. It was 18yrs old when I bought it for £5 of a bloke in an Isle of Wight pub - Happy days. K@rin appologies for highjacking your thread.

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on February 17, 2011

Hiya folks ;>) Well K@rin, seeing as you like useless information, I thought about another strange and weird looking English product MORRIS DANCERS My own opinion is that they have taken leave of their senses..All mad!! All mad!!

From a very sensible English gentleman! jim

K@rin on February 17, 2011

Hey JIM , Well GG more likes the dancing men in skirts see this one she always makes whistles and winkies :)))

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on February 17, 2011

Hi! 3Wheels ;>) It is possible that your old _ISIS (or some of it) is now touring the streets of Mumbai !

Free Wheels on February 17, 2011

Jim, anything is possible. I know somewhere I have some old B&Ws of me and my pride and joy. Column change, bench seat, straight 6 engine and did about 18 to the gallon.

Jim Evans (AXOTA) on February 17, 2011

That,s jerked the old memory cells 3W....

Imagine today driving around in a 6 cylinder, 100MPH car with front bench seats, and a four speed column change What style and panache!! ;>) Great for courting the ladies too!!

I had one of those Zephyrs in 69, exactly like the one in the pic..It did everything it said on the can--except go round corners!!

Happy days ;>))..petrol at less than 20 pence A GALLON!!!

Free Wheels on February 17, 2011

Had a white MKIII Zodiac. Same again, bench seat etc. etc. "Great for courting the ladies", learnt the rudiments in the Isis and perfected them in the Zodi:)

Hey K@rin, I bet you were not expecting all this interest? It's great, all very interesting and some great links! I didn't know which 'The George' you meant, so looked it up and I didn't know that (Norton St Philip). I will have to see the film. Keep up the good work!

Best wishes, Rosa.
