Wow, Rich, I wish, I'd get such a letter in Chinese, though I wouldn't understand a word, I would like to see my name written in Chinese. It looks extremly nice. :-) Greetings, May

WoW...Rich! A really beautiful picture Greetings, Greti.

Greetings Peter, Thanks so much for the folk story. I'm afraid my translator did not do complete justice to the text, but I believe I did get the general meaning you wanted to convey. Thanks for taking the time to send it to me. It is nice to have additional references for the seasonal cycles and the parts the good earth, the moon, the stars and our ancestors played in the stories that have been passed down through the millenia. I appreciate your thoughtfulness as we get ready to move through autumn and into our winter months. It is nice to have our ancestors looking after us.

Cheers,

Rich

Greetings May, It is a wonderful letter. If you copy it and run it through different translators you will have a very good picture of what Peter wants to convey. I imagine your name will be very beautiful when you have it drawn in Chinese or Japanese characters. Of course you will have to talk with the artist for a few minutes so he or she will know you better and be able to interpret your own characters.

Cheers,

Rich

Dear Richard

it seems that we like the similar things - wonderful mountains, the sunlight at diferent times and places and so on. Thank you for your approval on my pictures. It is hard for me to say, which of your pictures is my favorite - but all of them beat my tries of making beautiful pictures by far. But it seems that you have some more time to induldge your passion.

In hope for further nice pictures

Holger

Greetings Holger, Thanks you for visiting my collection and leaving you kind thoughts. I could only wish I had more time to devote to photography, but the job and life in general keep me pretty busy. So when there is time to get out, it makes that time much more special. We are our own harshest critics when it comes to our own pictures. You have many wonderful posts yourself and they are a pleasure to browse through. Thanks for posting them.

Cheers,

Rich

Fantastic photo, it seems as if the sky is on fire!

Richard Ryer on September 27, 2007

Greetings Brandon, The Old HP camera would do some subtle things with colors and lighting when is was cold and low light. This is one of those cases where it helped the picture. Thanks for visiting.

Cheers,

Rich

What a stunning picture, Rich! The colors are fantastic! Is this a recent photo? Anyway, I like it very much. Wish there were sunsets like this overhere, too! Cheers, Anne

Richard Ryer on September 28, 2007

Greetings Anne, Thanks for visiting the sunrise. It was a little earlier than the other photo so the sky was deeper in color. The camera settings altered it a little, but it was still a nice sunrise.

Cheers,

Rich

Good Morning Thomas, Thanks for visiting the sunrise and your wonderful comments. The weather is changing to winter in the high country here, so if it lasts I may get to go back out again on the weekends. Then I can post some new photographs.

Cheers,

Rich
