I loved the pattern made by the shadows of the "steps" winding upwards.
The goats had come down to earth, but I imagined Rapunzel up there with her long hair.
Fairview specialises in a wide variety of goats' milk cheeses and others - all equally delicious!
HELLO Hazel. Excellent shot, well composed with goat beside beautiful tower. Sun zenital light allow such a beautiful shadow contrasts. LIKE 1.
Hi there Rafael - thank you so much for your visit and for your cool comments.
And also for the LIKE - those shadows were just in the right place at the right time!
Hazel, I agree, I really love the patterns too... Fantastic shot and the goat adds a bit of humour to it (at least for me)
Very nice and good photo LIKE Hazel. Greetings from Holland John.
Great photo of an interesting construction, Hazel, and our handsome friend. When I was a child there were things called Helter Skelters, where we could climb up the inside and slide down the outside, very like the above, but the slide wouldn't be so easy. ;D Theolfa
Hi Hazel Ha ha I Keep looking for that golden hair to fall down from the upper window! :)) a really great looking "silo"? you have here Hazel. What a great time you must have had on this outing.
Sending warm greeting
Sarah... hugs to you!
Heh heh Rafael - where there are goats, there is humour!! (Unless you are being charged by one, of course.)
John, Theolfa and Sarah - you are all so welcome and I thank you for your visits and lovely comments!
As for this Goat Helter Skelter, I would think they would have problems sitting down after using THAT stepped-version of a slide! (Ouch).
Maybe that's why we never saw Rapunzel up there - she just never adapted!!
Warmest greetings and hugs,
"**ROLL UP!! roll up!" Slide down the helter skelter for only a schilling! do it twice and win a goat!!!
What a fun foto Hazel though I don't need a goat or a bumpy slide down that! It must have something to do with processing wine grapes, but I have no idea what as my input in the wine processing process begins when the cork goes 'pop'!
And (hic) Cheersh to you too - thish ish great fun ishn't it??
And down the helter shkelter we bump, again (ouch ouch ouch)
This is also a lovely picture, Hazel! The tower could be from a fairytale and I love the shadows of the stairway winding round it! I wonder what's the purpose of this tower. Do the goats walk up the steps? I know they are great climbers!:) LIKE! Best wishes, Anne
Dear Anne - thank you so muich for your visit and for your kind comments.
Here is a link for you - this will explain better than words!!
Thanks for sending me that link; Hazel! I already had a look at it, but I'll read it all when I come home from work tonight! Gotta go now! Best wishes, Anne
This is a delightful new take on the 3 Billy Goats Gruff dear Hazel, let's hope there isn't a troll hiding in their tower :)))
As the Gruffs go trip, trap, trip, trapping up the steps, let me just say that I love the shadows here, and the way that that Billy is looking at you, by command I suppose!
I also like the guy peeking at you from the depth of the undergrowth on the other side of the wall ;)
As they make cheese here, there must be nanny-goats as well :)))
Warm greetings, Amelia
Hi Hazel, long time no hear? We have just recently discovered this 'gem' of a place.....and the food! Right on our doorstep! Greetings! Johan
