FANTASTIC! What can you tell me about this trestle? Is it still there? What a fabulous thing. My Dad and I have been searching for this creature for weeks. We thought it was in Macon, but here it is in Lumber City! Very cool!

well i do not know much of the history except that it is over the ocmulgee river just a few miles up from where it meets the oconee and forms the altamaha. The area was big in the lumber business (hence the name) and itwas astrategic steamboat stop and log raft depot. its right beside the new highway and very easy to view, you can actually pull down beside it and walk out on it if you'd like.
