I visited Tonga as a Tourist. I travelled for six month through New Zealand. Most long-term-travellers in NZ go to Fiji and as i mostly try to travel off the beaten track i decided to go to Tonga. Sadly i just went there for a week, so i wasn´t able to go to Va´vau or Ha´pei - the ferry would have been too slow and Airlines Tonga are not very reliable (as you sure will know). But i surely will return sometime and stay a bit longer.
