Very beautiful photo, Greg. So many details hidden in the dark places. Your shutter has turned the running water to ice as well.

Great photo Greg, wonderful mono conversion. As Ryan says - you have retained the detail in even the dark areas.

Great photo of Bushkill Falls. Been there before but not in the winter. Very nice.

gregpphoto on September 26, 2007

Yea its not easy to explore in the winter. First of all, its illegal. The "All Natural Bushkill Falls" as the sign for it states, is "Closed In Winter." How natural is that?

Its also pretty dangerous. Having been there, scott, you know how short the fencing along the wooden walkways is. Well, when theres snow piled up against em, they become about 12 inches high, so if you were to slip, youd take a nice 50 foot fall into a gorge.

But its totally totally worth any risk, so id suggest trying to go there this winter.

great shot greg :):)

If this was the shot the dip was worth it!!!!

gregpphoto on October 3, 2007

hahaha it wasnt or else id probably be dead of hypothermia. Even tho its a very popular place, bushkill falls, its closed in winter, so id be alone about a mile from my car.

But the shots ive gotten out of my tripod were all the ones you see in my collection. Though nothing will ever replace Ol' Steady Legs, may he rest in peace.

Just beautiful, yellow star. Looking at my favourites I seem to be getting an ice theme. Cheers, from Australia

Let it snow and freeze. Keeps the punters in doors and lets the adventurer have pease.

Greetings from England

yes! now i have poetry about my photos. But what does "punter" mean in english (your style)?

Peter C Byron on November 18, 2007

Greg

A punter is the ordinary unthinking Plebian they look but can't see. As for poetry to your picture that might take me a little while this image speaks volumes. As for English we are still teaching the world our ever growing launguage

I love this photo!! I am putting together motivational screensavers together for people in my office. Can I please use this shot for one of my screensavers? I think looking at the photo is very relaxing and you can almost here the sounds of the falls!

gregpphoto on March 4, 2008
