Beautiful place, and great stereo. This could be another candidate for HDR.

Yes, that way the sky would have shown up as well. I was quite disappointed that most of these pictures ended up with a white sky or black trees. That's why HDR is such a great tool.

There's another way, and that's to use graduated neutral density filters. I've known about them for some time, but never thought about trying them until I saw this shot by Jeff Sullivan.

That sold me. I've got one on order, and it should arrive in the next day or so. Can't wait to try it

This is a GREAT one!

Jessica G. on April 5, 2008

Thank you very much VKeith!

(Do you mind saying - what's your first name?)

VKeith on April 5, 2008

Not at all. It is Virginia. I also live in Virginia. I wished I lived on Virginia Street in Virginia Beach, but alas, no such luck! I thought about Virginia City, but it is only in Nevada. I have a lot of photos I want to make into 3D but I dont' often get around to it. Your last entry in the forum really inspired me - the one with the reflection in the puddle. It is fantastic!

Jessica G. on April 5, 2008

Thanks - but I think your reflection is much better. :)

I guessed the V was for Virginia, because I knew you lived there, but I didn't know it was also your name. That's enough of a coincidence already without Virginia Beach or anything else!

VKeith on April 5, 2008

Yeah, you're right, no need to overdo it but it would be fun in telling people my address.AS for the photos, the reflection is bigger, because the puddle is bigger. I wanted to take more with more background banks but the battery went dead right at that moment so I quit with what I had. Those yellow aspen (?) leaves are so pretty. The dimension added to the reflections by 3D is just incredible!
