Your series of the Isle of Guernsey is really beautiful, Peter! Never been there but I'm sure it's well worth a visit! Like! Best wishes, Anne

Though I haven't visited Guernsey or Sark for that matter, I find myself thinking that it has a similar relationship with Britain that Norfolk Island has with Australia. Then seeing some of these images of your Peter, and the accompanying GE images, I get that Norfolk Island feeling all over again. Interesting.

Thanks for sharing from the archives.

Hi Ian

The most interesting memory of the Channel Islands was the remarkable mild weather for October. The product of the Gulf Stream, and the lovely warm sea.

Thank you for the mention of Norfolk Island, I had not heard of it, but by the use of this modern tech you can get a great insight!

All the best Peter

Hi Anne

As I mentioned to Ian above, the Channel Islands have a remarkably mild climate due to the Gulf Stream. Our visit in the October saw temperatures of near 20 C, and the sea was even a little warmer. There were still many flowers blooming!

All the best Peter
