Monument to King Alexander I Karadjordjevic, high 11,5 m

Споменик краљу Александру Карађорђевићу смештен је у центру града, на истоименом Тргу у Нишу.

Монументалани споменик је рад академског вајара Зорана Ивановића из Београда, а изливен је

у ливници „Кузман“ у Смедереву.

У постумент споменика уклесан је натпис „Краљ Александар Карађорђевић 1888 – 1934“. Висина споменика је 4,5 метара,

на постументу висине 7 метара и тежине 3,3 тоне.


Monument to King Alexander. The monument is located in Nis.

King Alexander I was born in Cetinje, Montenegro, 16.12.1888.godine, assassinated in Marseilles in France, 09.10.1934.godine.

King Alexander I was the first King of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia from 1929-1934.godine.

In addition to formal education completed and a military school in Petersburg in Russia.

He is also the name of King Viteski Ujedinitelja.

The Crown Prince was proclaimed in 1909, the Serbian regent 1914.

King Alexander I was the commander of the First Army, led by the legendary and victorious battles in

Kumanovo, Bregalnica, Cer and Kolubara.

On the site of a new monument was old who was removed after the war, now vrecen full size as it was old.
