Huge reclining Buddha resting on his right hand, measuring at 43 meters long, house inside the temple, Wat Po. The oldest and largest in Bangkok. Its enormous, but not as big as the one in Myanmar, Dawei, stretching to 74m long! All reclining Buddha rest on the right. If you can find one resting on the left let me know immediately!

You wrote: "All reclining Buddha rest on the right. " What a clever observation! I have never thought about it.

Its symbolic. RIGHT is more correct way of expressing. So far I came across 3 different right hand positions. Elbow resting on the ground and hand supporting the head like this one is very common. The other one is right hand tug under the body and his head resting on the right hand, sleeping pose. The less common one is using the right hand to support the body like a mermaid pose. Will be posting this one soon.

I'll be waiting for it.

Just upload one in Myanmar, Hpo Win Daung, near Monywa. This one has a rare mermaid pose. I actually was told there is one resting on the left! Unfortunately the person who told me couldn't remember the place. I have to see it myself to believe it.
