Beautiful and peaceful Jim Have a happy sunday friend.
Thank you for your comment on my WW2 tribute photo.
You are right Iceland was not immune from the hostilities of WWII:
It has been estimated that Iceland lost around
0.2% of its population in the WW2.
Most were lost at sea, shot down by planes and submarines while importing goods to Iceland and bringing food to the allied nations.
For the WW2 - I have seen numbers like:
Iceland lost 0.2% of its population
Good morning Jim!!! :) Joelle

Neil Grimwood---and how's the masked man from Marske eh? My diddlin's amiddlin' to be truthful Neil..damn that age related affliction!
As for emails and stuff----another bug in the system perhaps! I suspect that there are times when the site comes under attack from those who would like to stifle this free-thinking forum where like-minded thinkers can openly communicate their thoughts and feelings..
I forgot to mention the other bug(ger) in the system, it appears in the form of an ever-changing, invasive mutation, designed to infect the unwary amongst us and tends to invade your system during the early hours..It is the Panoramio equivalent of AIDS. There is no known cure and it is said that the prognosis is terminal and I hope it's bloody ears are burning Neil!!

Sig Holm~~Hello Sig ;)~~~I have a morbid fascination for such detail Sig..It stems from a time when the fortunes of my family was adversely affected by WWII. It's all in the past of course but I honour and respect the generation before me that suffered the trauma and tragedy of that terrible time!
JoelleGiannoni~~~Hi! Joelle :)--Unfortunately, I overslept today, so it's a good-afternoon from a bright cool and sunny UK..Good to see you hon!

This is certainly a good morning.
A very nice picture! Compliments and star of,
Nice sunrise, Jim
Great sky shot Jim, but looking at the Exif file, it is another one of the good old back up shots. Still like it! What a beauty!
I hoping that your winter weather is better than ours, it is raining cats and dogs in Vancouver. Spending most of my days moderating the Hungarian DNV contest and dusting off old pictures!
love the pics :-) my new ones are on :-) hope you like x
