Look at you with that beautiful moon!
Thanks Dann! It was miserably hot and humid here the day of the full moon (90 at the end of September! Ugh!) But the advantage was this amazing orange moon!
wow, this is even a better one!
thank-you nhkuan! I also have a lot of trouble photographing the moon clearly. I think this shot was a good bit of luck! I may have zoomed way in to get the proper exposure, and then back out for the full scene. But I doubt I could re-create it! Thanks for your visit and your comments!
Beautiful moon, great picture kamaly!
Thanks, Gerry, especially for recognizing the lack of photoshop! It sure took me a long time to realize all those shots with everything properly exposed and in focus were fabrications. I guess I don't see any point to creating a fake photo and pretending its real, but at least they pushed me to try to learn a few better techniques. But what really gets me are the people who photoshop in a moon and claim its real, but what they've created is physically impossible - like setting crescent moons in a dark sky that are lit from above !!! I've come across several of those here on Panoramio.
No It is not a typo. Nice picture.
LOL, oh, yes! I've been counting down the days, too. Even scheduled having a bad tooth extracted to be today, meaning I'll be suffering over my birthday week-end, just so that I'd be back in form for the full moon week-end! And thanks! The nice part about this one is that I just had to cross the street from work to take it!
hi kamaly, great photo! interesting comments regarding photoshop,i dont have it either, there is nothing better than just taking a photo and seeing the end result on your p.c,some are good, many are bad!i have a moon shot with my illuminated man series, take a look(sorry but i still dont know how to link)!
Kamaly and Someguyinmasset kindly taught me how to link. I will find their instructions and send to you. Cheers. H
steandeb - I've looked, but haven't been able to find a shot of the Illuminated Man and the Moon. What's the photo number? (or a 'moon' tag, perhaps?)
and thanks, helen! OK, this one was the September moon last year that seems likely to be hiding this year, not that other shot that was October's!
Hi Kamaly, just reading through comments on this photo, so glad so many people still like to keep their photos as they are taken, I know a lot of people win comps. etc. (friends of mine)(not panoramia) and they are photoshopped to the hilt. Dianne
I can see the man in the moon, this is fantastic! The full moon here has been covered in clouds up from the big killer hurricane out of the Gulf. It is only spitting a bit of rain at us but we need the rain. Your moon photos are excellent!
thanks, dianne and jean ! wasn't anywhere near as good a Harvest moon this year, but I was still able to sneak some shots in.
Great shot. Not far from Codzilla.
Thanks, Guy - and yup, pretty durn close to a slew of my shots. Its in the Lunch walk, after work walk, and sneak-out-in-the-middle-of-the-day-to-get-a-rainbow-or-moonrise zone. After dealing with traffic and parking, at least there are definite benefits balancing out working downtown.
