Looks like there hasn't been a train in ages.

I would agree, again I like NS as a company and I like trains but when they aren't using the line anymore come on.... According to NS they still use the line every so often, I don't know about that. I only know that some portions of the line, that there are trees growing right up next to the track. Nature has been reclaiming whats her's, nature doesn't listen to politics......

Hartz Mountain, which NS made deliveries to, closed, so I don't NS i running trains as often. They're against the Ice & Iron Rail Trail because they say that freight train traffic will go up within 20 years.

I doubt they will use this part of the line for the increased rail traffic... Most likely just like everywhere else, where Hartz Mt used to be they will redevelop the land and either make houses or a shopping plaza so no more industry there. They say made in Newark is the new slogan, but look at all the industry that has left NJ and the USA.
