That video is crazy, you'd think that after how many hundreds of years that there's been people and businesses next to that river, someone would have come up with a better flood control strategy.

Unfortunate, but makes for good photos. (interesting ones as well) there was an entire set of tires and 10 rubber balls stuck in the current under the falls that day.

Hey could be worse, I remember hearing a story about the effort in the 70's to clean up the Passaic River and on the night of the ceremony when they had the falls lit up the soap factory upstream dumped a massive amount of soapy wastewater into the river and everyone watched as the great falls bubbled over. This river has just always gotten the raw end of the deal.
