impressive scenery Patricia
you know, that they found a "wooden Stonehenge" in Poland
Hubs, I didn't know about Poland's Woodhenge!
We went to see the English one though, just a few kilometers away from the "stone" one...
But of course some small concrete cylinders can't replace to monumentality of what once was....
You still have that feeling in Stonehenge...
This picture was the closest I could get to the sunset over Stonehenge.... I hope for some more luck on a next occasion...
Hello Patricia, forget about the sunset, you managed to take a picture of Stonehenge without anybody - that's what I call a miracle. I've never been that successful...
Well, thank you Gerhard!!
I did take this one, over the fence after closing time... ;-))
But even during the day I was able to take shots with nobody on it... with a bit of patience and beeing a week-day in March... guess that doesn't work in summer...

Thank you so much my dear friends Fernand Panos Zygmunt Anne & Летящая for liking and/voting this very trivial monument... so many pictures were taken, and posted of Stonehenge, it is hard to post anything worth posting at all....
I was focused on catching a sunset over the eternal monument...this was the closest I could get...
Great shot! It looks like a wallpaper! LIKE!---Québec-Canada
Very nice view of a great historical place.
Wish you all the best in the contest
Greetings from India, ~~farooq~~
Lovely shot, dearest Patricia - I'm glad you were able to visit there again - must be awesome even from a distance. Happy hugs (O:
Suzi, as we were staying in Salisbury, only 10 miles away, I got to see them 3 times in 2 days!! Twice over the fence, once actually visiting, for the first time ever...
I 'll be back there on one of our future UK-trips, for sure!
The whole area there has loads of interesting (pre)historical monuments!! Check out Avebury stone circle & Old Sarum in Salisbury for a start! Just trilling!
Beautiful composition and colors, LIKE! Best wishes from Germany, Volkert
Good idea and realsation, Patricia, I like your shot

It's such a common subject but I tried to catch it in a some what original way...
That's exactly what I meant ;-), Patricia
