This evening panoramic of the Portland skyline, was shot in sections using a telephoto lens to pull Mt. Hood closer to the city. The sections were then stitched together. The ability to use a telephoto lens to make a panoramic image, allows me to take photographs that were simply not possible before. The photo was taken from the Vista Bridge.

Gorgeous evening! Thomas (Germany)
Thanks Thomas, You should visit Portland. It's a lovely city. I was in Munich and Frankfurt in April and enjoyed my stay very much.
Hi Ron! Actually, I used to study in Portland and just visited Oregon again two weeks ago.
Hi again... I am mesmerized by your photo, I have taken some photos from that bridge, it is a beautiful place, I could spend hours in that area just wondering around... another masterpiece!
I agree. The area has some spectacular views and I enjoy going back at different seasons because it changes constantly.
I really like night shots.......

I like night shots too and find them a real challenge. the more I do, the more success I have.
Very good photo. Portland must be a very good city to life.
