Eckhart and Ah-pong, it is very interesting for outsiders to observe, how the bikes are looking for the pole position at the red light. This is just a small sample, as you know. Yesterday we had hard time walking on sidewalk on Sikumwhit Road in Bangkok, as the bikes where coming in both direction and honking if we did not give them way.

I do not have the courage to join, not on bike, not on car.

Haaaaaaaahaaaa!!

Here the rule is the other way around. Pedestrians always yield to motorists.

Have you tried taking a bus? Don't assume they are as gentle as the TTC here! A bit of acrobatic skill is necessary.

Ah pong, bus is my main mode of transportation here, but also songthaew (the open vans in background) and private car. i used bicycle very carefully....and lately boat.

I am on a relatively small island (20 km lg) now. 400 people die a year from traffic accidents!!

Hells Angels of Pattaya!! ;-) love it!

Manol thanks a lot!!

Great shot! A "cultural icon" of Southeast Asia. In ChiangMai, you will get to see them flowing into every bit of empty space between cars at intersections, sometimes three or four up, and not so many helmets.

Songthaew for me, too.

Cheers! -Steve

Hello Rock, Steve Gaudenzio and jean marc,

Thanks for visit, nice comments and Like.

Steve, I was in Chiang Mai later in my visit, but I have to say, that the most dangerous is still Bangkok.

Cell phone is the minimum problem Rock, see Ah pong comments!

Greetings, Tomas from Toronto
