Japanese WWII Midget Sub - Sumay Cove, NS Guam 04/2002

Hey, Thanks for your comment. The pic I took of the sub was back in the early ninties. It wasn't in the pictured location in late 01-early02 when my boat unit was in Guam at the request of COMNAVMAR. I don't recall seeing it at Sumay Cove then. It might have been undergoing maintenance at the time. All your pics of Guam are great! Thanks

This sub now sits just outside the front gate near Pass & ID.

I remember going down inside of this sub sometime between 1951-54 as a kid when I lived on Guam when my dad was stationed at COMNAVMAR. The sub had not been restored at that time and it was pretty scary to climb down into.
