This is Ballydavid on the Ballydavid headland. Smerwick is across the mouth of the harbour on the first of the 3 sisters.

Thankyou very much, popsigh. Your advice has helped me to be precise. This is taken of and from the Ballydavid side of Smerwick Harbour. I had driven around the bay from Curragraigue and looking back across the small bay took another photo from Glashabeg of the landscape and communities that we had fallen in love with.
I am particularly pleased to see the circular fold on Google Earth - the higher wall of rocks that appears in the centre foreground of my photo. (And the new red house in my photograph is more recently constructed than the time the GE imagery was recorded.)
Thank you so much for assisting me to geolocate it for I was looking on the wrong side of Smerwick Harbour.
Sincerely,
Ian (in Sydney)
