(sorry couldn't resist that)

William there is a grim places tag for just such a shot.

The HDR helps too.

Great colours, very painterly.

really good to see the things you don't normally see - and your treatment makes it look almost beautiful :)

Great shot terrible smoke, yet another reason to avoid sugar. trolvag

With any luck, the smoke pouring out of all those chimneys will be from the waste bagasse - the fibrous residue after the sugar has been squeezed out of the cane. Jethro - I had a look at your grim places tag - particularly like the one tagged "syphilization", but noted that some viewer was being a bit defensive!

This shot was taken by my better half. I was probably trying to get a temple against a sunset or something (or maybe had my feet up with a cold beer) but it is good to get some of the realism as well. Anyway, many thanks Ronald, Jethro, Andrew, Graham, trolvag and especial thanks to my new visitor william.lee! Cheers

Aye, and some viewers were being ignored an all William

I used to live sandwiched between South Yorkshire coal mines and a power station. It still wasn't beautiful!
