I agree with you concerning a relative loss of impacting luminosity of this pic compared to the other one...however, I still love this one, because of its high microcontrast dynamic, which allows it to be turned into b&w. With its sepia tonality, the virginal aspect of the landscape reminds me of early photographic works. I will upload the original color version of that pic later on, so that you can compare both...
