Originally launched in 1955 for the Belfast/Heysham Ferry service. Sold in 1979, she had short-lived local fame as a "fun ship" beached near Mostyn, Flintshire. The business venture failed and she now sits rusting and abandoned...

Several photos of this ship made a good study. I am drawn to this one partly because of the framing and the feeling it created of something out of place. I like the portholes photo, too.

Thanks Larry - in this case the ship is framed by a low railway bridge with barely 6ft of clearance. Had the bridge been any taller I doubt if the shot would have been possible. You are absolutely right about the 'out of place' intention of the shot. It feels very unusual to walk down this muddy lane and find a huge rusting ship beached at the end of it - quite poignant too.
