Chasm Lake, Longs Peak, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado
Greetings Nadia and Selesan, Thanks for visiting and commenting (Nadia - my apologies for missing your visit). Chasm lake is such a remote, rugged and beautiful location. I like it in winter when you can walk across the ice to stand under the Diamond face.
Greetings Rafal, Thanks for visiting the east side of Longs Peak with me. It is a beautiful cirque. You can sit next to the water and listen to the conversations of the climbers high above you on the Diamond wall. I like this place I am glad you like it too.
Nice View of Chasm and the East Face... a place that was mine for three summers. I was a Longs Peak Ranger and really enjoyed all of your pix of the area. Very different than my days there since your pix all seem to be winter. But, really enjoyed seeing my old stomping grounds. I have heard the Chasm Meadow cabin was wiped out in a slide but don't know when. Didn't see it in buzzing around the cirque and looking at Peacock pool. This tool is neat.
