Hi Berend, Unusual trees, do they stay like this or do they have leaves at certain times? I love trees and I think the Australian gum is beautiful. Reminds me of a poem. I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree. Have a good day regards Dorothy.

Hi Dorothy, these trees get leaves indeed, they're just a kind of Willows. In the old days farmers cuts the straight branches and used them at the farm. Now farmers buy sticks and voluteers cuts every two years the branches. Otherwise the branches get to heavy for the tree. This is a picture of a Pollard willow after cutting the branches. Greetings Berend
