Welcome to the USA and to Arkansas. You take very nice pictures. Your title is a little inaccurate for this one. Cherry Street is in Helena as your image location would indicate.
I'm in Michigan, but I graduated high school at Central in Helena/West Helena in 1967. I've seen that street completely under water from a fast rain storm around 1971. This shot appears to be looking north to the intersection with the statue of the Doughboy from WW 1. In the opposite direction, Cherry street ends in front of a cafe/restaurant. The Mississippi River levy is about 1 block to the right in the shot. Am I right?
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. In the 60's when gas was 19 cents a gallon, we teens used to drive up and down this street every weekend. It would be a bumper to bumper who's who of the high school set.
