I hope it hasn't change much since then.

I'm afraid it has nik, there are probably twice as many houses here now! Perhaps I should take an "after" photo to show the difference. Also in those days you could see our cottage from here, before our trees grew much taller. Best wishes - Jim

Jim, my Vote for you although I still have no idea how to find your shot on the voting list.

:-) nik

Jim Mills on April 24, 2011

I like that nik, you're giving me a "virtual" vote, or even better a vote in spirit! That is the down side of the new voting system. I'm sure it's also slowed down the number of comments. I don't miss the standard "like + vote" comments, but I do miss the genuine comments from good friends on Panoramio, which also seems to have been reduced. I have to admit I'm partly guilty of that myself, since I visit other friends galleries far less than I used to. I suppose I could partly blame starting up with facebook for that. Shame Panoramio doesn't have a "share" button for facebook yet. They already have buzz and twitter! Any way nik, all the best for Easter - Jim

nikduserm.com on April 24, 2011

Well, I am more relaxed about it.

I supposed the Panoramio staff realized, finally, about the amount of people only commenting to get a visit and Vote back.

I am not sure this is the reason for less people/friends commenting. In your case obviously is because you are discovering and practising with the FB.

I keep the same, more work less comments, more free time more comments.

Anyway I know I can always find you on FB. So no big deal.

Also get a great Easter, although there is not much left and all my regards to Beamish girl.

:-) nik

What more could you want than a view like this dear Jim, makes it a pleasure to get up each morning! Hope you are enjoying your Irish Spring, take care! :) {L+YS}

It has been a long time since I visited your pages, and I sure was in for a treat. I love these old scans, really. Have you considered revisiting the exact same positions and doing them again? That would have been really interesting.

Jim Mills on September 27, 2011

Hello Snemann, good to hear from you again. Thanks for your compliment on my old photos. Your Idea sounds good. I'll seriously consider that, especially with this view, which has changed a lot, with taller trees and more houses built. Best wishes - Jim
