I am most surprised, Palmina by this house. I really didn't expect this to still be in Eltham today! And I like the composition as well.

It really is wonderful to have you back posting on Panoramio. It has got a whole lot better and more reliable than when you were first involved.

Warmly,

Ian

Yes Ian Justus Jorgensen started to build Montsalvat in 1938 as an artists colony. He and his friends used whatever materials were at hand, so you have quite a mish mash of styles and materials. The big stone hall and the quaint little chapel are truly wonderful. It's a great place to visit and have a picnic - and if you are lucky, you can watch many of the weddings happening. There are still a lot of artists who work in the various studios around the place making jewellery or painting or sculputures. It is lovely that the 12 acres have managed to stay intact in this day and age.

Thank you for the visit and the comments - I am glad to be back.

Warm regards,

Palmina
