He is frightening! Is this real?

Indeed this is real. I was at a salmon hatchery and was able to get this lamprey that had come upstream to the hatchery. I put it in an aquarium so I could take a photo of it. It attached itself to the glass wall and I able to take the photo. Lampreys are a unique kind of jawless fish that attach to salmon and other fish to feed on blood and tissue. They can be up to a meter long.
