I am grateful for the introduction to Tanya's folio and for letting me know that they were ice crystals in your special photograph.
Hope that you enjoy the journey with me, as I wander through life with my camera. Thankyou for linking my gallery into your favourites.
Regads from Sydney. Ian
You don't know me at all but I stumbled across your pictures of Smiths Lake on Google Earth. I don't know exactly where you took them, but at a guess they are on the waterfront of my in-law's place! Would you mind if I downloaded them and emailed them a copy? They would be impressed.
If you can give joy to your in-law parents by sending either the link or downloading this picture and others of Smiths Lake and emailing them to them, then I am pleased and feel honoured that you were willing to ask. That is appreciated very much.
They are loaded at a reasonably good dpi and size so if you go through to the original upload rather than the thumbnail or the first view by left-clicking on the photo and then right click on the zoom, you will be able to print from this.
As for location, I believe I have been very precise with the location on GE, if that helps.
PS: When you are done, would you mind replying here just to let me know which particular pictures (use ID numbers) you have downloaded. That'd be great. Ian
Thanks very much for that. I've downloaded 5064348, 5059842 & 5059834, as these are the ones taken near their place. Are you able to tell me when these pictures were taken?
Not that I'm a photographer at all myself but I remember when I first got an SLR taking pictures of the sunset from this location (looking slightly more to the SW) and playing with the aperture, with some surprisingly pleasant results (for an absolute amateur).
I've spent many an hour casting off from that small outcrop in picture 5059828, and many a fish has me to thank for their meals as a result...
